When you use Finding Maeve, we collect information you provide during your search — such as care type preferences, location, budget range, and timeline. This helps us find appropriate facilities for you.

We also collect standard usage data (pages visited, device type, browser) to improve the service.

• Connect you with facilities that fit your needs (with your consent)
• Improve our recommendations and service quality
• Send you reports or follow-ups you request

What We Share

We may share your search criteria with facilities you express interest in, so they can follow up with relevant information. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your information.

Analytics and Cookies

We use the following analytics tools to understand how families use Finding Maeve and to improve our service:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use GA4 to understand aggregate usage patterns such as which pages are visited, how families navigate the site, and which features are most helpful. GA4 uses first-party cookies and does not collect personal health information. IP addresses are anonymized.

Google Tag Manager (GTM) — We use GTM to manage our analytics tags. GTM itself does not collect personal data; it coordinates when and how other analytics tools load.

Microsoft Clarity — We use Clarity to understand how users interact with the site through anonymized session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity automatically masks all text input fields so that no personal information, search queries, or conversation content is captured. Clarity only loads after you provide consent.

Consent — Analytics cookies and Microsoft Clarity session recordings are enabled by default. You can opt out at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer (or the section below). Opting out stops further analytics collection from this browser; data already collected is retained per Google’s and Microsoft’s data retention policies.

What we do NOT collect via analytics: We never collect the content of your conversations with Maeve, your health information, specific facility names you search for, or any information you share in the advisor chat through our analytics tools. Analytics data is limited to page views, click patterns, and feature usage.
